The Golden Age of Learning: 21st Century
Hello everyone. I wish to share some of my ideas with you about education in the 21st century. This age is a complete learning era with technology and the many applications it brings. Nowadays, learning is a comfortable, simple, yet challenging process. It is a century with many opportunities, but those who cannot take advantage of them are deprived of them all. Therefore, it is necessary to keep up with the time period before starting to learn.
Language learning is very major and enjoyable at a time like this. There are now many programs specifically designed for language education and consolidation. Thanks to 21st century technology, we can easily do and learn everything without requiring any effort, unlike in the past. With these new opportunities, we achieve more efficient results as well as fast and tasty teaching.
As a teacher candidate, I am pleased with the chances provided. However, I am actually worried that the information pollution created by these possibilites will prevent accurate information because learning the language correctly is as important as learning it. For instance, the majority of individuals say they know English, but relatively few do. We have a big responsibility here. As English teachers, we must ensure that the language we convey achieves its purpose by integrating technology into our classrooms correctly. We cannot impart lessons by neglecting the fact that today's pupils live entwined with technology. Especially if we don't use tools suitable for this period of time in language teaching, we will further alienate the student from the language to which he/she already feels unfamiliar in the beginning.
In conclusion, learning in this century is an unprecedented chance. We must use this luck carefully. Being aware of this age, we must take the responsibility of learning. What's the point of an unused chance?
