Creating an Infographic

Hello again! Today I am here to introduce you to a fun activity. Our teacher asked us to choose one of the ethical and legal issues in the use of technology and create an informational infographic. I chose the topic of cyberbullying becuase I wanted to raise awareness on this issue.
As for the design process, frankly it was a bit difficult for me at first because it was my first infographic experience. Choosing templates and visuals harmoniously and researching-conveying information at the same time is not an easy task. However, apart from these, I did not encounter any difficulties. I created it using the Canva application, it's a creative app with nice content, but I found it a bit confusing to use. Maybe I think this way because I used it for the first time, I don't know.

What are the potential benefits of infographics in the English classroom?

Infographic is an effective method for quickly communicating complex information. Therefore, it will make a great contribution to the explanation of especially complex and difficult to remember words and grammar encountered in English education. Also, it is more effective and memorable than other visuals. So, it has the potential to be an entertaining language teaching material.

How can students benefit from this? What would be the educational benefits of creating an infographic on a given topic for students?

I think infographics are like posters. Students can learn about the courses and subjects they have difficulty in by creating their own infographics at this preparation stage. They can also learn the subject they want by examining ready-made infographics. However, more efficient learning takes place with self-prepared infographics because you need to do research and establish certain points in your mind before creating. This preliminary preparation phase and subsequent translation into materials both encourages students and provides more permanent learning by giving the student a more active role in the learning process.

Here is my infographic about cyberbullying ( It consists of two pages, if you are viewing the infographic as a video, advance the video to look at the other page.)  :
